Kitchen Nook After

BEFORE: The décor and furnishings in this kitchen dining nook have a definite country flavor that lacks universal appeal. Dark blue wallpaper makes the space appear smaller than it really is, and heavy curtains block both the light and the view outside.

AFTER: Country-style furnishings have been replaced with a round glass-top table and chairs more proportionate to the space. Cream-colored walls brighten up this kitchen nook considerably. The rug was removed to reveal hardwood floors, and an updated light fixture replaces the tin candelabra. This kind of work should be done by a professional, like https://kalahari-electrical.com/lawrenceville/ for instance. Removing the window grilles and changing the valances allows light to come in and accentuates the beautiful view. For a pop of color, a vase of red flowers adorns the table.

Honestly, I am so happy with how this kitchen remodel turned out. Although, for me, I think the lighting is probably the biggest change. Whereas before the space looked dark and uninviting, the new light that has been installed has made a huge difference. Above all, this just goes to show how important choosing the best possible lighting for your home can be.

That being said, it is no secret that there are so many different lighting options out there nowadays that it can be easy to become overwhelmed. However, if you are thinking about upgrading the lighting in your home, reaching out to an electrician can help you to work out the best possible lighting set up for your space. A cozy reading area has been created giving this room renewed purpose more appropriate for a room with built-in bookcases. The faded blue carpet was replaced with a patterned carpet adding interest to the small space. The walls and wood trim were painted light sage and ivory for an up-to-date look. A new chandelier helps draw attention to the high ceilings. Vintage family photos are packed away, and a large framed print gives the room a focal point.

Dining Room After

BEFORE:  The unique built-in cabinet and shelves were lost in a gallery of children’s artwork displayed across the wall of this dining room which does double-duty as a play area.

AFTER:  Removing the extensions from the table and positioning it away from the wall at an angle makes it feel more spacious and functional. The child’s drawings and photos were replaced with a simple print that coordinates with the drapes and sliding doors leading out to the deck. A few colorful vases placed on the top shelf of the built-in cabinet draws attention to that feature. The child’s drawing desk was removed from the corner to further open up the space.

Need a Color Consultant?

Looking for ideas on paint colors for a room? Sometimes a change of color is all that’s needed to bring new life to an old space. It’s an easy and inexpensive way to update a room or the entire house. But for some, choosing the right color can be intimidating and downright overwhelming. Factors to consider include the size and purpose of the room, the mood you want to create as well as the influence of natural light. Dark or light, subdued or bright, Amazing Spaces will recommend a color palette that is perfect for your home.

Give us a call today and get a free consultation on how we can help you choose the right colors for any project you want done, no matter how large or small. With over 20 years experience, we can color Amazing Spaces in your house, often more affordably than you think!

Advantages of Interior Redesigner vs. Interior Designer

What’s the difference between using an interior designer or having an interior redesign? Usually the biggest difference is cost. Both will consult you to find out what your design goals are and make suggestions for color and changes you can make. But with redesign, the home-owner’s tastes and style are the main consideration, not the designers style or preference. Like home staging, redesign typically involves re-arranging existing furniture and accessories with a few modest embellishments. Whether doing a single room or the entire house, we’ll help design a living space you’ll love coming home to, often at a fraction of what it would cost you to hire a traditional interior designer.

Put simply, interior redesign is an excellent choice for homeowners who want all the benefits of an interior designer but without the high price tag. These affordable transformations typically can occur in less than a day! Contact Amazing Spaces today to get a free consultation of how we can put over 20 years of our design experience to work for you.

What is Home Staging?

Home staging gives homes for sale a competitive edge in the marketplace by increasing appeal to potential buyers. It’s more than just cleaning and de-cluttering the house you are selling, whether that be to the House Buyers of America or anyone else… it’s about creating great first impressions. The artful arrangement of furniture and accessories will highlight a home’s best features and minimize any flaws. A patio area can benefit from poly furniture so that a potential buyer can envision having BBQs outside and entertaining guests.

Vacant homes can be especially hard to sell. They appear cold and uninviting, and most buyers have a hard time imagining themselves living there. Amazing Spaces can provide furnishings and décor, whether for a full room or small “vignettes” designed to give an impression of how a space might be used.

Another affordable option available through Amazing Spaces is getting a home staging consultation. We’ll walk through your home and provide you with a prioritized “to do” list that you can handle on your own.

Based upon statistical data, investing even a few hundred dollars in staging can net the seller thousands in return and will likely speed the sale of the house.

When you think about how it will feel when you are finally able to take the steps to put your house on the market, you’d be stupid to shy away from this idea, especially if it increases the chances of selling it at a quicker rate. Regardless of whether you’re looking to sell homes las vegas, sell your condo in Florida, or are moving out of the country for good, be sure to make your last memory of your house a good one, and staging your home could be what you need to do to achieve this goal. So go on. What are you waiting for?

usatoday“Staged homes, on average, sold in half the time that the non-staged homes did.”

U.S. Housing and Urban Development reports that a staged home will sell, on average, 17% higher than an un-staged home.

In a HomeGain Survey of over 2000 realtors, sellers who spent $500 on staging services recovered 343% of the cost in the sale of their home.
